“ Let You Down” Is really dark, haunting, and serious. This one is intense and an in-your-face rock song. The bass runs of the mighty Johnny Martin are ferocious and rocking.
Gun‘s guitar solo goes into interstellar overdrive. “ Dog” This track rocks fast and hard with the fury of 1,000 guitars. “ Knock Me Down” Starts with an AC/DC-like opening, then starts jumping with a solid rhythm section that keeps the beat alive and kicking.

“ If It’s Over Now” is A slow, dark, and moody track full of power chords with a nice build. It features Faith Florida, who lets the lyrics interpret her fine performance. Guns teamed up with NLight Productions to make a video of this track with over 150,000 views. I don’t know if the Guns/ Lewis bond is responsible for delivering a song like this or if Lewis and Guns have been down to the Crossroads. “ Get Along” This song is a “hit” as it says so much musically and lyrically. It’s got a good feel, strong riffs, and is lyrically strong. “ Living Right Now” Lewis sings a bit like Johnny Rotten on this one. Some crazy backing chorus and hidden harmonicas accent it but fail to deliver until some trippy guitar solo comes in. “ Bad Luck Charm” is A generic rift that kind of gets on your nerves. The twin-guitar attack of Tracii Guns and Ace Von Johnson would make any band envious. “ Checkered Past” opens strong with “ Cannonball,” a rebel-rousing rocker that throws you the hook, and you bite down hard. They live it, they breathe it, they make it, and we want it. They have created their own fine blend of rock and blues they can distinctly call their own. Guns are all well-season musicians who understand their musical roots and influences. He also brought in his old buddy and ex-bandmate Adam Hamilton to do the mix.
Tracii Gun‘s produces this one himself and does a fine job crafting these songs and bringing them to life. This is good old fashion, no bullshit, 100% rock and roll that we love it. Now with the release of their new studio album “ Checkered Past,” these Hollywood vampires are cocked, loaded, and ready to kick our ass once again. The band is tight, the songs rocking, and the music is powerful and diverse. Since then, they have been full of a creative drive that has delivered three albums of L.A.
